Perform the duties of a military social worker including but not limited to: supporting units in casualty situations, supporting individual soldiers with all presenting behavioral health concerns, support citizens of host nations as needed. Survey unit needs, inform commands of the mental health status of the unit as a whole, provide solutions for improving morale and services as needed. September 2022 to March 2023: Behavioral Health Officer, Camp As Sayliyah, Qatar. Officer-in-Charge of a team of USA and USAF behavioral health professionals representing various related specialities including mental health nursing, occupational therapy, social work and behavioral health technicians. Oversee all behavioral health operations to include but not limited to: prevention of and response to behavioral health conditions, provide outpatient therapy to servicemembers and Afghan beneficiaries. Coordinate with local Qatari facilities and Al Udeid Air Base to ensure all servicemembers stationed in Qatar have access to behavioral healthcare.
