ABOUT KATHERINE BOND
As the Global Partnerships Lead at the Atlantic Institute, based at the Rhodes Trust, University of Oxford, Katherine leads strategic alliances with mission-aligned organizations and networks to address inequities and drive systemic change. Her work is anchored in a deep commitment to equity, justice, and collective impact, mobilizing global communities around transformative learning, collaboration, and innovation.With a career that spans public policy, international diplomacy, European civil society, and higher education, Katherine brings a rare combination of strategic insight and creative leadership. Before joining the Atlantic Institute, she spent 12 years at King’s College London, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the university’s engagement with London’s civil society, government, legal, and creative sectors.As Director of Innovation and later as the Founding Director of the Cultural Institute (now King’s Culture), she launched a range of transformative initiatives. These included positioning creativity as a driver of health, wellbeing, and social change; building a diverse portfolio of collaborative research, innovation, and public engagement programmes; and co-developing new academic degrees and leadership initiatives in partnership with national creative and cultural organisations across London.Katherine began her professional life in the performing arts as a theatre and opera director and continues to advocate for the role of culture in advancing health and social justice as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
