ABOUT EDUARDO BOMBIERI

I am a Systems Engineer, with a post-grad in Control Systems and a specialization in MBSE. I have 11 years of professional experience mostly in the Aerospace sector, with a short passage on Railway.I started my career in Brazil at Embraer (7.5 years) as an Aircraft Brake & Landing Gear Control Systems engineer. I grew in this role and became responsible for the full system development cycle, since high level architecture definition, down to the lower levels of requirement implementation. I was the technical responsible and liaison with suppliers, flight test engineers, pilots, customers, directors, certification authorities, etc. In 2018 I moved to the UK to work as a consultant engineer at Alten (3 years), where initially I was assigned to Bombardier Transportation (8 months) as a system engineer for railway driver interface equipment such as traction/brake controller and driver safety devices. I changed then to a Rolls-Royce Controls Systems assignment (2.5 years) where I worked as a System Design engineer for the Trent XWB engine electronic controller. My role there consisted of eliciting engine level requirements and translating them into a safety compliant design, generating lower level requirements for the existing HW/SW controller architecture. During my last year with Alten I also accrued the Technical Leader role, where I contributed by assessing team skills, scoping work packages, defining training, induction plans and ensuring high standard deliveries across the engineering teams. In Aug/21 I moved to Dowty Propellers, GE Aviation, where I learned a lot about propeller control theory, while eliciting customer and certification requirements and helping develop new architecture for propeller control systems and replying to bids, RFIs and RFPs.Since Jan/23 I\'ve returned to Rolls-Royce Control Systems in the XWB team as a permanent employee.I have solid analytic skills, a solution focused approach, a profound sense of ownership and I\'m proud of delivering at the highest standard, on time. I\'m a fast learner able to understand complex systems, their layers of abstraction, and to communicate in a clear and honest way. I constantly seek for improvements, I\'m not afraid of showing vulnerabilities, asking feedback and seeking guidance. I am an approachable individual, a good team player with great interpersonal skills. I have Brazilian & Italian citizenship and live in Cheltenham, UK. I\'m fluent in English & Portuguese, and have a basic knowledge of French & Italian. I\'m a karateka and I enjoy doing churrasco (Brazilian BBQ).
