As a senior engineer within OCI’s Physical Networking organization, I serve as a key technical escalation point for all fabrics across our global network, providing expert-level guidance in architecture, design, and operations. My role spans complex incident management, cross-team collaboration, and driving automation and efficiency across multiple layers of the network.Key Contributions & Achievements- Acted as the final escalation layer for high-severity (Sev1/2) incidents across all OCI physical networking fabrics, including sev1/2 on-call incidents and coordination- Developed a self-service training platform for new engineers, consolidating knowledge across all network fabrics and onboarding tens of engineers across multiple teams- Partnered with cross-functional teams including Network Monitoring and Network Automation to design and enhance automations, workflows, and monitoring tools using Python, YANG, and Prometheus, enabling faster issue resolution, automatic vendor case creation, and operational reporting used for leadership metrics- Was one of the lead engineers of the team in advanced usage of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and Stencil templates to streamline operational processes, knowledge sharing, and communication across OCI teams- Guided projects to standardize device baselines, manage upgrades, analyze GPU traffic flow patterns, and improve network readiness and resilience- Acted as the physical operations subject-matter expert in cross-team initiatives, communicating complex network strategies to protect revenue, optimize performance, and enhance the global OCI infrastructure.This role has allowed me to blend deep technical expertise, operational leadership, and process innovation, directly impacting OCI’s ability to deliver a secure, reliable, and high-performance cloud networking world.
