ABOUT BODO HEILIGER
As the Head of School at the International School of Portland, I lead a diverse and inclusive community of learners and educators that embraces the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy and curriculum. I have over 20 years of experience in the education field, working as a teacher, principal, division head, workshop facilitator, school visit team member, and concept-based curriculum trainer and consultant. I hold a Master of Education degree from Harvard University, a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Business School, and multiple certifications from the IB and other organizations. I have also contributed to several publications on topics such as inquiry circles, LGBTQIA+ inclusion in schools, and fostering student agency. I am passionate about creating a culture of excellence, innovation, and diversity that prepares students for global citizenship and lifelong learning.
