Completed the basic design and FEED stages of the Orah Device - a shallow water, multi-kWh battery specified for the offshore wind market. Collaborate with the electrical, battery, software and systems departments to deliver Verlume’s top tier battery and power management technology. Current workscope includes:• Specifying project requirements and closing end-of-project loops, ensuring requirements are met.• Chairing technical design reviews.• Managing engineering scopes (i.e, environmental loads, seabed stability, offshore lifting, installation aids, pressure rating, manufacturing and assembly etc.). • Dangerous goods notes and compiling MSDS to REACH regulations. • HAZID, DFMEA.• Cross-discipline interface management.• Pressure vessel design to EN 13445.• Independent third party verification packages.• Mechanical analyses.• Testing and assembly procedures.• Deployment and recovery procedures.• Meeting the technology roadmap; standardising the Charge battery system.• Developing a shallow water enclosure template for future offshore wind applications.
