Agilica is a Deeptech spin-out from the Royal Military Academy - Brussels, using UWB infrastructure to deliver precision positioning needed to enable autonomous drones for precision flight and landing/take-off at sea/offshore and in other GPS-denied or GPS-shaded spaces. Drones are notoriously difficult to land at sea using GPS alone for autonomous functionalities, which can be compromised offshore and worse still when the landing target is in multiple degrees of motion. Maritime/offshore use cases for UAVs are a massive opportunity if autonomous features can be unlocked by a local relative positioning system independent of GNSS. Other tech alternatives tend to be high cost, less accurate or not robust enough at sea and not as scalable as the system Agilica is building. The use cases are not limited to offshore/maritime, as the AGL system can be used to provide cm-accurate GPS-like positioning for drones, eVTOLs and other ground based robotics, whilst also tracking other fixed or mobile assets including humans wearing AGL tracking tags.
