ABOUT BOB SORGE
I am honored to lead Madison Community Foundation (MCF), which has a strong 84-year history of engaging Greater Madison in philanthropy to advance a more vibrant and equitable community. It is built by, led by, and serves the community - truly operating as the community\'s foundation. My entire career has been spent in the nonprofit field, and I have been fortunate to be surrounded by humble, hungry, smart people who are deeply engaged in their work. I am happiest when creating and implementing strategic plans - identifying unique value, developing strategy to realize that value, then aligning actions and bringing it to fruition. Fun. Good to Great is my favorite book in the business genre.I have served in many volunteer capacities and on several boards, including the Center for Community and Nonprofit Studies, the Wisconsin Philanthropy Network, Evjue Foundation, Colony Brands Foundation, Everything\'s Possible Foundation, Madison Rotary Foundation, Greater Madison Convention and Visitors Bureau, Clean Lakes Alliance, Parkwood Hills Community Association and others. I am also a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Madison.I enjoy the outdoors, spending time with my wife and sons, and having a project to tinker with.
