It was quite an experience to be so diverse in my various organizational roles, the people you meet, the types of projects performed, and the skills acquired along the way.20••••17It was exciting to join AECOM in 2010 as Operations Director, accepting the leadership challenge to rebuild the firm’s Gulf Coast practice to match its global stature, bring operational excellence, and to grow the practice into new disciplines with new clients. A very interesting aspect has been the integration of URS into the AECOM business and the re-emergence of the new company including its new organization and culture.Over this career, there have been many successes. Accomplishments include approximately $200 million in fee sales and project delivery to clients across the region, as well as establishing new major programs with new clients. I have thrived on accepting challenge and am always seeking ways to create vision and exercise leadership. Complex projects, operational excellence, innovative solutions, measured risk-reward propositions, and client satisfaction are major drivers. We must think and act differently to achieve different and better outcomes.As a corollary to the direct business, a highlight of my career has been as 2017 state President of ACEC/Louisiana, helping to support hundreds of consultant firms and thousands of engineers across the state.

   Oct 2010 — Present

   Manage AECOM\'s Gulf Coast transportation and infrastructure practice, including bridge and road design, toll roads, and other alternative delivery, transit, port, planning and feasibility studies, traffic engineering, and construction management. Highlights include- Developed and matured to a $10-$15 million annual revenue transportation business- Created and implemented an Operational Excellence Program to cover basic (but missing) business parameters: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Client Focus, Proposals, Contracting, Staffing Projections, Utilization Planning, Project Controls/Document Management, Professional Development/Training, Project Work Plans, Quality/Technical Excellence, Workshare, Overhead Control, Cash (billings and receivables)- Client Account Manager for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, developing from a 2-project client to $49 million in new wins with $10 million new contracts and backlog in 2017, establishing AECOM as top 3 provider- Planning and design of the I-49 Connector and Earhart Connector urban freeways (Lafayette and New Orleans) with combined construction value over $1 billion- Design and delivery of two new streetcars in New Orleans, with construction value of $100 million- Vision and creation of the Baton Rouge Urban Revitalization and Mobility Plan (BUMP) public-private partnership proposal; led development of the project with elected officials, business leaders, community groups, the media, and internally at the senior levels of AECOM- Helped to facilitate the integration of URS into the AECOM organization in the gulf coast area.
