About Bob Reeg

I am the founder and chief executive officer of Peace Through Action USA, a national social sector organization that inspires and equips everyday people to increase safety, belonging, and peace in their relationships and communities. I have 35 years experience in social justice public policy advocacy, program design and direction, fund development, and management consulting. I hold a Master of Public Administration. I am a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP). I am an alum of the American Express Leadership Academy and StartingBloc. I am an Ashoka Spiritual Changemaker. I am a recipient of a Daily Point of Light Award. I am an Eagle Scout.Among my accomplishments, I was the designer and director of AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps VISTA projects overseeing over 100 AmeriCorps/VISTA members, 30 sponsoring organizations, and in federal funds. I was the conceiver and author of comprehensive strategic plans for three national nonprofit organizations. I have extensive experience in federal policy research, formulation, and advocacy. In my policy roles, I succeeded in initiating and advancing legislation and securing appropriations of importance to low-income, youth, and veteran populations. I also held responsibility for conceptualizing and managing a state-level capacity development and technical assistance program. My organization development and capacity-building expertise areas include program development, volunteer and employee management, policy advocacy program development, and resource development. My subject matter expertise includes peacebuilding, national service, volunteering, veterans affairs, homelessness, youth development, youth services, public health, and professional licensure and regulation.

   Bob Reeg is a public policy consultant to Healthy Teen Network. Bob is responsible for assisting the organization’s leadership in developing its public policy positions, developing and implementing public policy action strategies, liaison with the federal legislative and executive branches and issue coalitions, and public policy communications with members and supporters. In a program development role, Bob led the organization\'s Volt young men\'s health project and the organization\'s Generate My Healthy Future Plan health discovery and action planning project for youth. Also, he supported the organization in developing proposals for large federal grant solicitations.
