I have over 30 years of engineering experience the food industry, specializing in highly automated, CIP cleanable processes. The following are some of the projects I have been involved with: Cornell University New Dairy, Ithaca, NY – New teaching dairy. Involved from conceptual design through start-up and commissioning. This dairy design was unique in that the University wanted to provide a cross section of what students were likely to see in operating dairies after they graduated. Products include fluid milk, cider, orange juice, ice cream, yogurt, and pudding. HEB New Yogurt Facility, San Antonio, TX – Cultured products addition to produce fruit on the bottom and blended traditional yogurt, sour cream, dips, and drinkable yogurt. Involved in conceptual design through start-up and commissioning. Hershey New Aseptic Dairy Process, Guadalajara, Mexico – Aseptic flavored milk products processing including ingredient batching, CIP, raw storage, UHT process via Tetra Pak Flex Systems and Aseptic filling into 250 ml bricks. H.P. Hood New ESL Milk Facility, Winchester, VA – Largest ESL plant sq. ft.) in the United States. Project Manager for initial greenfield plant in 1990 and 27 projects to date. Kraft Foods Cultured Products Plants – Process/CIP design, programming, and commissioning for multiple plants in New York including N. Lawrence, NY; S. Edmeston, NY; and Walton, NY. Kroger Co. Multiple projects including fluid milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream, orange juice, cider, tea, and ice cream. I have been working on Kroger projects since starting at Seiberling over 24 years ago. Projects include: Centennial Farms Dairy, Atlanta, GA - Major Dairy Renovation, control system replacement. Michigan Dairy – Livonia, MI - Major Dairy Upgrade – Over 40 projects completed. Tamarack Farms Dairy – Newark, OH - Control System Replacement – 29 Projects completed.
