Robert J.(Bob) Gurney, Ph.D.I am an Educator, Researcher, Entrepreneur and Consultant with over 40 years of experience. Two slogans that help guide me are: ‘Your success is our goal’ and \'Failure is Not an Option\'(quote by Gene Kranz - Apollo 13). My fields of expertise include sports sciences and medicine, organizational development, leadership, business management, and coaching.As an Educator, my teaching experience spans 30+ years in colleges and universities. Instructing in health sciences and business management with delivery systems of in-person, online and hybrid. I have achieved - Bachelor of Physical Education/Kinesiology, Master of Science in Exercise Physiology and Doctor of Philosophy in Business and Economics. As a Researcher, I have completed dissertations for both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, plus authored and co-authored in peer reviewed academic journals, magazines and books. Additionally, I have developed and presented topics of sports sciences/medicine and organizational development to both domestic and international audiences.My Entrepreneur experiences have involved the development of four consulting companies. I am the creator of the Peer Coaching Professional Skills curriculum which evolved into the Competencies-Based Coaching (C-BC) System ©, under the umbrella of SkillPair Consulting. Over the past 12 years, these coaching systems have been delivered to over 1600 university students and over 1400 workplace employees.
