Bobby is Vice President of Solutions Engineering at Agerpoint, Inc, an innovator in geospatial intelligence and data engineering that develops technologies to digitize, analyze and comprehend natural environments.Prior to Agerpoint, Bobby co-founded Spade Geospatial Solutions (spadeGEO). spadeGEO helps clients design, build, test, and implement geospatial technology-enabled solutions to improve decision-making and performance, while seeking to tackle several of the world\'s greatest challenges - food security, climate change, & urbanization - along the way. Bobby leads technology initiatives at spadeGEO with a focus on bringing to market innovative tools that combine relevant and accurate spatial data layers with the decision making power and efficiency of well trained (or \"ground-truthed\") machine learning models.Prior to starting spadeGEO, Bobby was the Director of Agriculture at PrecisionHawk, a drone technology and data analytics company, headquartered in Raleigh, NC. During his time at PrecisionHawk, Bobby\'s responsibilities varied from business development to sales enablement to product management. While his efforts focused mainly on the Ag business, he was also closely involved with initiatives in Insurance and AEC.Bobby\'s passion has long been for bridging the gap between innovative technology and users that stand to benefit most from them. He attributes this desire to his agriculture roots, having been raised in a farming family in eastern North Carolina and then obtaining degrees in Biological & Agricultural Engineering from NC State University. Bobby\'s PhD research was based in precision agriculture and water management, centering on the development of tools and techniques to aid growers in irrigation scheduling in humid regions with highly variable weather patterns. This included the incorporation of wireless sensors, crop growth modeling, weather forecasting, and variable rate irrigation.
