About Bobby Ren

In search of software-based technological innovation in renewable resources, sustainability and green tech. Open to limited scope projects, code review and refactor tasks, architectural discussions, ideas great and small. I\'m sometimes a leader of ideas and often a sounding board and rubber duck.My background is in mobile technology, primarily for consumer-facing applications, but I\'m interested in analytics, metrics and data about user behavior in any large system. I enjoy thinking about abstractions and interfaces and models in software. I\'d prefer to improve stability rather than build fast and break things, but find it most impactful to build safeguards in a system that is changing quickly.As an avid gardener and conscientious environmentalist, I\'m hoping that the next step I take can have a positive impact on the outlook of our planet. In the time off that I have now, I am happily tending the soil and making use of all the natural resources that I have, including the sun, rain, worms, and urban natural resources. While I love to work with my hands and get physical with a shovel or a hammer, I think the real impact will come not from manual labor and individual-sized efforts at conservancy, but some marriage of green tech and knowledge about the natural world. What that is right now I don\'t know. It could be a bucket of worms for every household combined with the latest app for tracking your waste offsets.
