As an early adopter, McClung built the first wireless broadband network in Central Texas. Under McClung’s leadership, by 2003 Momentum Online grew to become one of the largest wireless Internet providers in Texas, and among the top 20 in the country. McClung sold Momentum Online to ERF Wireless in 2007 and assumed the role of President/CEO of ERF Wireless Bundled Services, Inc. a subsidiary of ERF Wireless, Inc.In 2004 McClung founded Broadband Horizons. Broadband Horizons was the first provider of Broadband Over Power Line (BPL) services west of the Mississippi river. In 2005, McClung and his team assisted Texas Senator Troy Frasier in drafting Texas Senate Bill SB5, the benchmark legislation defining the municipal deployment of BPL technologies. In 2006 Broadband Horizons was acquired by Gridline Communications, Inc.Upon leaving ERF Wireless in 2010 McClung took on the role of Director of Operations for KeyOn Communications, A wireless broadband company serving subscribers over 14 states. McClung is also an active leader in his community. He iserved five terms on the City Council in Blanco Texas; his fellow councilmen have unanimously appointed him as Mayor Pro Tem for four terms. McClung also served as Blanco Mayor from 2009 until May 2010.
