Bobby Arthur McAlpine is a dynamic strategist in government relations, policy advocacy, and public affairs, with a proven track record of leadership, coalition-building, and systems-level impact. A recent graduate of The Ohio State University, Bobby served two historic terms as Student Body President, representing over students while shaping multimillion-dollar decisions and driving enterprise-wide initiatives at one of the largest universities in the country.With a degree in City and Regional Planning and minors in Civic Engagement and Political Science, Bobby’s work sits at the intersection of policy, community, and innovation. He founded and curated the university’s first Black History Month Gala, created The Scarlet Button (a centralized student services chatbot now in implementation), and helped accomplish university-wide searches for top administrators including the University President, Executive Vice President and Provost, among other positions.Bobby was appointed by the Ohio Department of Higher Education to represent The Ohio State University on the Chancellor’s Committee for the CAMPUS Act, a statewide high-level team tasked with developing the official model policy and best practices to combat antisemitism, Islamophobia, and racial and religious harassment on Ohio’s campuses. As one of only two students appointed across the state, Bobby helped shape the recommendations that will govern institutional conduct, safety, and accountability across all public colleges and universities in Ohio. The report was published in August 2025.His professional experience spans high-impact roles in legal and regulatory environments, supporting enterprise compliance at Fidelity Investments, judicial work with the U.S. District Court, and corporate law at Duke Energy and Taft LLP.Bobby is now pursuing opportunities in government relations and external affairs where he can continue building bridges between institutions and the people they serve, bringing sharp policy acumen, lived leadership, and an unwavering commitment to justice, safety, and opportunity for all. In his free time, Bobby loves to bake, cook, and enjoy quality time with friends and family.
