ABOUT BOBBY KIPPER

As Founder and Executive Director of the National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence (NCPCV), I have spent the past three decades dedicated to interrupting the process of violence and keeping our schools and communities safe.I have spent over 30 years speaking and training on Community and School Safety. As well as providing assessments to prevent violence at the national, state and local level. In addition I am called on as an expert witness on community and school violence litigation. As the former director of Virginia’s Gang Reduction Program, I led one of the most successful gang reduction models in recent history. My work also includes successful implementation and adoption of key national initiatives with the White House, Congress, and the U.S. Department of Justice.I founded NCPCV in 2009, and today am an author, consultant, and expert on school safety, anti-violence, and gang reduction. At NCPCV, our programs, training, and technology are designed to identify behaviors, promote positive interactions, and create an overall positive environment to improve school climate, enhance campus safety, and disrupt the process of violence before it becomes an event. These experiences and best practices are detailed in several books I authored or co-authored: “No Bullies: Solutions for Saving Our Children from Today’s Bullies,” “No Colors: 100 Ways to Stop Gangs from Taking Away Our Communities,” “Performance Driven Thinking: A Challenging Journey That Will Encourage You to Embrace the Greatest Performance of Your Life,” and “Actively Caring for People Policing.”I spent 30 years in Law Enforcement in Virginia :Starting With 26 years in Newport News and 4 years at the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia.
