I am an experienced, portfolio non-executive director with a proven track record as Chair, Audit Committee Chair and SID. I have diverse mix of skills, knowledge and experience across private and public companies and the consumer goods, medical devices and technology sectors. I have worked internationally as well as on the boards of UK plc\'s and have extensive experience of M&A, including the sale of plc\'s, an IPO and successful acquisitions.My portfolio currently comprises Chair of The Skills and Business Hub (formerly the Berkshire LEP) and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee of Maintel plc As Audit Chair I have transformed the effectiveness of Audit Committees, and proactively influenced improvements in finance processes and management. I have led four extremely successful re-tendering processes for external audit and shared my knowledge and experiences in areas such as Investor Relations, Risk Management, Financial Management, Digital Technology and Corporate Governance.As Chair I provide motivational leadership which has helped the LEP through a period of uncertainty and to establish an important new role as a catalyst for economic growth in Berkshire.I enjoy being engaged on an ongoing basis with my portfolio companies via informal meetings, social media and email as well as the usual formal meetings.
