ABOUT BOBAK KASRAI

I have spent a majority of my professional career in the field of higher education and have recently branched out into the Ed Tech industry. Taking on additional responsibilities and mastering additional areas of expertise through each job transition, I have learned a number of transferable skills that would allow me to transition into many fields seamlessly. Recently, I served as an Associate Dean of Students. In this role, I led a number of departments with the goal of promoting student success and maintaining a high functioning atmosphere within the Dean of Students Office. I often served on various campus-wide committees and also coordinated the budgeting, strategic planning, and assessment initiatives for the Dean of Students Office. I currently serve in a sales/customer success role where I am responsible for generating new leads and expanding current partnerships, while also maintaining relationships. The experiences that I have gained throughout my career have helped to shape my trajectory into further leadership positions. My career thus far has been focused on promoting customer success and ensuring that customers (whether students, parents, or strategic partners) have access to reasonable solutions/needs and that institutionally, we are serving customers well. I have a long history of leadership development, as I have supervised a number of staff and departments with the goal of always encouraging my staff to grow and learn in their positions so that they are better prepared throughout the time we work together. I remain active outside of my professional roles, as I have served on the Editorial Board for an academic journal for the past eight years, support students from previous positions in a mentor capacity, continue to assist undergraduate students through volunteering, serve on the Scholarship Review Committee for the Virginia Latino Higher Education Network, and participate in a number of local community initiatives in Hampton Roads, VA.
