ABOUT BOB SHEPARD
Bob has spent over forty (40) years in the environmental business as a builder and operator of solid waste operations. He began at Fennell Container Co.Inc in Charleston SC in 1979 and helped build that business into the largest independently owned and operated waste contractor in the state. Liquid and hazardous waste operations were added in 1983 through the formation of Fenn-Vac, Inc. Additional startup companies were formed in Greenville, SC, and Memphis Tn. Acquisitions in Hilton Head and Savannah Ga helped grow this business. These operations were sold to Republic Services in 1995 and Bob became Area President of SC. In NC operations were added to his responsibility and in March he was promoted to Regional Vice President over the Southern Region including Ga. and Fl. He stayed in this role until the merger of RSG and Allied Waste. He retired from formal employment in Jan. 2009, and began building his current investment vehicle, R N Shepard Investments, LLC.
