About Bob Salsameda
I am a certified neuroscience and family nurse practitioner with > 50 years of perioperative and first assistant nursing experience. The last years 32 years I have practiced in the role of the first assistant in a private neurological surgery practice, have allied health professional privileges in a community designated level two (II) trauma center. My initial perioperative experience came from my military service in the hospital nursing corps. I function in a collaborative interdependent private practice as an advanced practice nursing (NP) in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative areas of surgical neurology. I have completed thirty-two years of instructing APNs, CNMs, and perioperative nurses in the RN First Assistant role at a major university. Invited lecturer at national and regional seminars on various trauma and neurosurgical modalities. Currently sit on NASC Board of Directors as President. Consultant to CENEXEL CNS Research as. Sub-Investigator.
