ABOUT BOB NYGREN

As an experienced business executive with nearly a decade in the c-suite, I learned quickly that the organization is only as strong as its strategy and the people to execute against those goals. I have been a part of organizations that delivered well on this promise and those that struggled. I also have a unique background in endurance sports, culminating in the completion of Ironman Wisconsin in 2012 and 2014. However, it wasn\'t until I didn\'t finish Ironman Cozumel in 2016 that I recognized the intersection of my endurance sports and business training. This experience reinforced that as a leader, focus, commitment, and mental toughness are key to achieve sustainable success. When one or more of those elements is not present, weaknesses compound. More importantly though, I realized at a very personal level that the result is not \"failure\" as it is so often defined. Too often we are trained as business leaders that anything less than complete achievement of the goal at hand is a failure. I believe wholeheartedly that we need to evolve our thinking, and more importantly our actions, to encourage audacious thinking to challenge the status quo. As leaders, our role is to knock out the obstacles that prevent our people from realizing their untapped potential. It is only then, that we can truly achieve our potential as an organization. As a partner, consultant, and coach, I use my own experiences to oftentimes help leaders get out of their own way by being willing to be willing to be wrong, embrace failure as growth, and be willing to own their choices.
