Established in 1981, the AFB has shown dramatic increases since our current facility opened in 2017. In the last four years alone, food procurement and distribution has doubled - from lbs. in 2019 to lbs, in 2023. Innovative programs like AFB Marketplace, Free Food Thursday, FoodShare, and KidsPaks have allowed the AFB to serve the equivalent of meals to 2,500+ customers - EVERY MONTH. Partnering with area schools and other non-profit organizations, staff, board, and volunteers work to raise awareness and address an issue -hunger - that many/most have never experienced.
