My purpose is to serve, first, as a husband (29 years) and father (of 4). I strive to honor my friends and family, which includes all of my coworkers. I contribute to enhancing my community. I enjoy celebrating life through exercise, concerts, travel, learning, and playing on and around water. Professionally, I am a Performance Contracting & Energy/Mechanical Services entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years experience in development, scaling and strategy. I successfully (and with tons of help and luck) exited 1 performance contracting and 2 energy generation businesses. I am passionate about building thru serving and innovating to enhance lives.

McKinney, along with great teams, built and sold three companies. After the latest sale McKinney created Stratelign to focus on two of his professional passions; K-12 energy services, and growing specialty contracting firms with C-Suite advisory services focusing on strategic planning, leadership team assembly, business development, and investment.Stratelign believes there is a better way for schools and contracting firms to approach their most challenging endeavors.
