Bob has more than 45 years of successful experience and increasing responsibility in all phases of telecommunications and electrical power systems, including design, installation, maintenance, administration, training, operation, and management. His areas of expertise include voice communications systems, including telephone, audio/visual public address, and intercom systems; access control/intrusion detection systems; intelligent transportation system elements, including CCTV, electronic signage, and other traffic control and surveillance equipment; supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), fire detection, and alarm systems; information technology and data communications systems, including workstations, server equipment, and interface and network equipment; LAN/MAN/WAN network transmission systems, including analog and digital carrier systems, both copper/fiber cable and radio frequency based, shipboard radar and radio systems, telecommunications outside plant, and primary and secondary electrical power distribution systems, including underwater cable power distribution.EngineeringAs a Technical Lead Engineer, Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) and Outside Plant Designer (OSP), Bob has extensive experience performing and coordinating design and construction phase activities, including site surveys, drawing and specification preparation and review, technical liaising with client and contractor personnel, reviews of construction submittals, inspections, testing and documentation of completed work, providing technical training to client personnel and in-house technical staff, and quality assurance through enforcement of applicable codes and standards. He has been involved in projects that cover the entire scope of electrical and telecommunications requirements within the transportation arena in both traditional and design/build projects.
