Proud to lead a team of 70 people whose responsibility spans finance, billing, legal cashiering, credit control and business partnership. The team has set two targets. First, to become the best performing finance team in the UK, delivering top class service to internal customers. Second, to create an amazing team where everyone is proud to work. Team internal customer feedback scores have improved dramatically, reflecting a paradigm shift in stakeholder perception of finance. Finance team member engagement is the highest of any team in the business. Team NPS has risen to 74%, with 100% of the team reporting they are proud to work at Weightmans. • Finance have delivered a major reporting project: with zero budget, a firm-wide KPI reporting system – working collaboratively with our IT colleagues. • A new banking deal has been negotiated and the team have managed the transition of all banking activities. • Cash collection initiatives have delivered a highly material reduction in client debt – and the business, led by the credit control team, achieved CICMQ accreditation. • Financial control has been dramatically improved through diligent focus on core financial and operational processes. This is particularly important in a regulated business transacting almost £3bn of client funds each year. • The billing team continues to focus on enhancing the operational processes for our lawyers - with the aim of reducing the administrative effort required by lawyers and improving client experience. • The finance team have championed Pricing training throughout the business - as a key driver of profitability improvement - and there is a continued focus on improving financial and commercial awareness across the business. • Most importantly, we have developed our people, promoted from within – and have a record number of team members on the firm’s Leadership Academy.
