Bob Dodds was appointed as Vice Chair of the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) in November 2018. In May 2019 he was appointed to the additional role as Acting Chair (CEO) responsible for the management of 190 employees. Upon modernization of the OEB on October 1, 2020, he was appointed as a full time Commissioner. The OEB regulates electricity and natural gas utilities in the Province of Ontario, Canada and which have $46 billion in asset value. Bob has extensive experience in managing regulated utilities (electricity distribution, water treatment and delivery and wastewater treatment) in the United States as well as managing unregulated electricity generation, transmission and distribution plants in the US and Canada using the following fuels: water (hydro), natural gas, municipal wastes, wood wastes, landfill gas and wind.
