   Following some 36 very satisfying years with USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (January 1980 – January 2016), I have decided that new avenues are exciting and I look forward to continuing relationships developed over my APHIS career and establishing new ones. Adri and I will for now remain in the Washington DC area; some of my time now is committed towards work in and around our house and the remainder towards charity activities and new professional endeavors. I remain a licensed veterinarian, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, and a member of several professional organizations including the U.S. Animal Health Organization, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the DC Veterinary Medical Association, and the National Association of Federal Veterinarians.
