About Bob Blais

A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a BS in Management Advisory Services, a combined degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems, then becoming a Certified Public Accounting at the firm of Purdy Bornstein Hamel and Burrell. Bob was a principal at the privately held firm of Management Controls Inc. offering small businesses accounting and banking consulting services for 9 years before joining one of his clients, Seatrade International at the end of 1998. As Seatrade’s Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, the company experienced double digit growth for over a decade on the back of scallops before the Company was sold to East Coast Seafood in 2012. Since joining East Coast Seafood, Bob has assisted in a number of areas with the Company related to operations, procurement and sales and now holds the current position of Senior Vice President of Procurement and Operations. Over the past 4 years the Company has been consolidating more of its operations in the Greater New Bedford, MA area with continued improvements to its state-of-the-art facility on New Bedford’s historic waterfront.
