   I am living proof that when you leave a good company for any reason, you don’t burn bridges. I am happy to be back with KHS America in the role of Business Development Manager for the Midwest and Midsouth. Business Development Manager is the title given to the outside sales reps, previously known as District Managers, to better reflect the role of the position in the current marketplace.\\\\n\\\\nKHS has two primary divisions - Education and Combo. I represent the Combo side of KHS. The Combo Division BDMs handle products such as Drum Kits, Guitars, Ukuleles, Harmonicas, Accordions, and related accessories. Brass & Woodwind Instruments, Marching Percussion, Concert Percussion, Orff, NUVO and pre-school instruments and related accessories are handled by the Education BDMs.\\\\n\\\\nWhen I first returned in 2019, my Territory wrapped around the Great Lakes, extending all the way to western NY and western PA. Because of a reduction in force due to COVID-19, in March of 2020 my territory was redrawn to its current boundaries of lower MI, IN, OH, WV, KY and TN. Territories are much larger in the current era than they were when I started some 25 years ago - in both geography and number of accounts.\\\\n\\\\nIn my first year back, I was able to grow my Territory by 8% in top line Combo sales. COVID and unintended side effects from the pandemic created some challenges for everyone in 2020. For my territory, 2020 top line Combo sales increased by only 5% over 2019. With many of the challenges behind us, in 2021, top line Combo sales increased by 35% over 2020 in my territory.\\\\n\\\\nIt’s been a fun couple of years returning to outside sales. While I do miss some aspects of being in Management, I enjoy being out in the field again working directly with a variety of great people in all segments of the music industry.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
