Responsible for all operations out of our Pittsburgh remote office, including, but not limited to Purchasing, Quotations, Vendor Relations, Inventory Control, Customer Service, and Expediting • Manage a team of 9 employees (3 Customer Service, 4 Quotations, 2 Warehouse/Ecpediting) all working remote • Reduced the total number of vendors from over 1100 to around 600 by strategically sourcing product categories to key vendors to leverage spend • Negotiated pricing and rebate agreements with vendors to improve profitability • Experience in building a staff in different departments (Hired 7 of my 9 current direct reports) • Strategically source product to our key supply base in order to obtain cost savings goals for our customers • Coordinate customer price changes with the Key Account Managers for each cutomer • Manage inventory levels in Saline, MI warehouse to support customer needs • Perform daily purchasing to support inventory and fulfill customer order requirements
