ABOUT LEE WASNIDGE

Throughout my career I have worked with organisations in both the public and private sectors to identify and deliver key priorities and interpret these into comprehensive strategic plans. Improving the bottom line, operational performance, stakeholder satisfaction, employee engagement and improved collaboration. I have delivered major transformational programmes, bid proposals, people development and colleague engagement initiatives both in the UK and internationally. I like to take on high profile challenges, deliver innovative solutions and generate new business in highly competitive markets. I am resilient and have a drive to problem solve, utilising data and evidence to improve and transform operational performance. I started my career working in the FMCG sector with some of the world’s most respected and recognisable brands leading and developing logistics and supply chain operations. I have gained a breadth of transferrable experience as a Board Director, Managing Director, Transformation Director and Customer Service Director across a range of industries including Rail, Aviation, Tech driven managed Taxi service and Cycle Hire Schemes. I could have chosen a logistics and supply chain specialist career. Instead, I chose to study for an MBA and gain an understanding of the value and impact of leadership, innovation, strategy, finance, transformation, organisational culture and people development. I have mulit-industry experience and even though I have not followed a typical career path, I believe that my diverse experience is a helpful attribute, bringing fresh thinking and views about sector norms and expectations.I have led large, geographically dispersed teams and I am a strong supporter of developing a positive culture; I truly believe that people are our most valuable asset. Throughout my career I have used my strong and ethical leadership skills to hire and develop talented people from all backgrounds and create high-performing, energetic teams that deeply care about what they do to deliver outstanding results.I’m a strong advocate of the senior team setting the tone for promoting an open, diverse and high performing work place. I know what it takes to run the frontline part of the business and how that interacts with and depends upon the support service, stakeholders and the leadership teams to deliver. I have found this has continued to benefit me immensely throughout my career.
