I explore how climate change is transforming the US through violent storms, intense heat, widespread wildfires, and other types of disasters and extreme weather. I focus on how these disasters impact vulnerable communities, how many survivors are often left behind due to race, age, and economic status, and investigate to hold account the bodies and systems that should be helping us prepare for and recover from disasters. I often deploy to disaster zones and do live, breaking, and enterprise reporting on the preparations for, responses to, and aftermaths of these events.
