At OCC, I work in a highly regulated financial market utility to continuously improve our analytics platforms and data products for risk analysts, quants, and data scientists who manage the financial risk lifecycle.Previously, I managed the machine learning practice (data ingestion, feature engineering, model selection, production deployment, performance & model drift monitoring) for a US financial regulator’s retail customer protection department. Our classification and ensemble modeling techniques measured broker, hedge fund, and advisory firms, respectively, for fraud and major compliance violation risks given their past and current mix of learned leading indicators. We built the foundations of a risk-based audit practice, moving on from a cycle-based one.
