ABOUT MAXIMILIAN BECK

Making peoples lives easier with the help of software is a passion that brought me into the field of software engineering.Teams I work with accelerate value delivery for users of software products through effective communication, collaboration, and with continuous delivery practices, domain driven design, or other iteration discovery methods. My goal and therefore also my quality measurement for the work I do is to enable continuous feature discovery in the products I work on while maintaining an overall stable system. To do so, software needs to be able to change fast, allow room for user-data-driven experiments, and be resilient to regressions when changing and deploying the software system in a high frequency. When doing my work, I try to provide knowledge sharing for software engineers, product owners, and engineering managers who are interested in the methodologies I use to accomplish the product goals. These knowledge shares allow room for interesting discussions where I like to take the opportunity to learn from others and therefore have the ability to fine-tune my ways of working. My work is guided through: Effectiveness- Producing measurable outcomes and proving by data that these outcomes move us closer toward our goals is a very high motivator to me. Efficiency- Quickly establishing pragmatic and sustainable solutions that provide a valuable outcome and can be continuously improved once proven to be valuable. Continuous improvement- I continuously try and learn new things, make data-driven experiments to see if things are working out, and don‘t hesitate to explore unknown areas. This way, I aim to continuously improve myself and the products I am working on in small and controlled steps.🤝 Collaboration- Great achievements usually derive from excellent collaboration within a team and with the value-receiving stakeholders. To push the collaboration to new limits, I like to emphasize extreme programming techniques such as pairing combined with TDD, and the co-creation of BDD scenarios with customers. Transparency- I like to know what‘s going on and why certain decisions are made. In exchange for that, I always try to involve everyone asking in my decision-making process which is in my opinion a absolute necessity to create an environment of high trust. Drive- I am passionate about my goals and always aim for the best results possible. The drive to accomplish such results is enabled by a generous working culture where everyone works toward the same vision and searches for the most effective way of doing it.
