ABOUT BISWAJIT MAHARATHI
Biswajit maharathi, Ph.D, is a research assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago with expertise in biomedical engineering neuroscience and health informatics. He has more than ten years of experience in clinical research, basic science research, information system development for health, and analytics. He is currently the project lead for INTUITION, a software platform catering to multimodal data integration, visualization, and analytics for neurological diseases and conditions. He is also leading the NCATS-supported project ADRESai, which streamlines the collection, extraction, transformation, and dissemination of entire clinical data from UI Health and caters to researchers and physicians. His previously developed software PTRD (PTE Translational Research Database), is used at multiple institutions for clinical and preclinical data management in traumatic brain injury. His previous work involved network analysis of epileptic spikes in evaluating their relationship with seizure onset in surgical epilepsy patients. He also conducted several preclinical studies to evaluate epileptogenesis in tetanus toxin-injected animal models and traumatic injury animal models of epilepsy.
