Biomedical Volunteer Workforce Engagement | Pacific Division: CA, OR, WA, ID & MT Implement and execute creative volunteer strategies to ensure the availability of sufficient volunteers to meet operational needs and achieve objectives. Manage volunteer programs and services and provide leadership to staff and volunteers. Establish and expand programs and services that will meet the needs within resource constraints and in alignment with long- and short-term organizational strategies. Serve as a liaison and ensure coordinated outreach and partnerships with internal and external constituents. Provide support, development and leadership guidance to all volunteers. • Establish high performing staffing and volunteer-placement models with a culture in which volunteers and staff work interdependently to achieve the American Red Cross mission. • Responsible for staff management and development including: hiring, assigning work, coordinating, coaching, evaluating, managing performance, and mentoring. • Implement and execute creative plans, strategies and methods, with attention to diversity and inclusion goals, in alignment with organizational strategic plans and in support of assigned programs and services. • Oversee efforts to ensure availability of a sufficient pool of regulated and non-regulated volunteer staff to maintain efficient operations. • Work with internal partners to implement strategies for strengthening the Red Cross brand, ensure communication and a consistent experience for volunteers across all lines of service. • Serve as a resource to volunteers and internal partners in order to maximize involvement, efficiency and institutionalization of volunteer support. • Evaluate effectiveness of programs and ensure accurate and timely reporting of all metrics. Monitor outcomes and results to reinforce organizational accountability. • Identify and implement process and performance improvements to enhance operational success. Drive change management initiatives.
