I’m a Director of Engineering focused on scaling and evolving complex logistics platforms while maintaining strong teams, operational discipline, and measurable business impact.Opendock was already operating well when I expanded my scope in 2025 to include NavTrac. The opportunity with NavTrac was different: integrating a capable but under-aligned team and a higher-cost operating model into a more cohesive, efficient, and scalable organization. By clarifying purpose, tightening focus, and aligning technical decisions with business priorities, we improved collaboration and delivery across Dock and Yard while preserving Opendock’s momentum.Over the year, this work translated into concrete results: meaningful reductions in operating and install costs, accuracy improvements to 90%+, latency reductions from minutes to under a minute, and a step-change in automation. In parallel, Opendock’s platform improvements and operating efficiency helped support more than 30% year-over-year gross profit growth while scaling customer usage. These gains came from architectural simplification, operational pragmatism, and steady team leadership rather than wholesale rewrites or organizational churn.I remain hands-on when it matters. I regularly engage directly in hard technical problems and recently led performance improvements that increased appointment search throughput by up to 70× and reduced system load from insights reporting by as much as 200×. I’ve also delivered database and query optimizations that reduced worst-case queries from 25 minutes to under 3 seconds and enabled previously impractical queries to return in under a second. I see technical depth as a leadership asset when applied intentionally and in service of outcomes.Beyond my direct teams, I work to strengthen how engineering operates across the company — improving cross-team trust, influencing adoption of effective tooling and patterns, and helping connect technical execution more clearly to business goals and executive decision-making.
