The BLOODHOUND Project’s Model Rocket Car Challenge is a global competition backed by Guinness World Records, inviting teams of school children and youth clubs set their own world records by building and racing model rocket cars across their playgrounds and into the record books.Find out more at http://bit.ly/RocketCarChallengeInspired by the rules governing the BLOODHOUND Supersonic Car currently being assembled ready for testing this summer, the model rocket cars must blast along a wire and through a set of timing gates twice within an hour to be eligible to set a record.There are four categories for cars fitted with increasingly more powerful rockets and like their full sized counterparts, there’s also an ‘unlimited’ class, where model cars can be fitted with any number and size of rockets.
