About David Blondheim

Data and process driven engineer with a background and experience in discrete process manufacturing including die casting, lost foam casting, CNC machining, quality control, project management, capital equipment installations, operations management, and building positive customer and vendor relationships. Last several years my focus has been on the collection, analysis, and application of data in manufacturing environments (IIoT/Industry 4.0/Big Data). In 2017, I was asked to help lead and develop Mercury\'s IIoT / Connected Operations initiative in Global Operations which has continued to grow in scope and responsibilities. Success has included implementing data collection systems and real-time dashboards and data visualizations across multiple manufacturing processes. Also have implemented advanced analytics and machine learning solutions in thermal image and shot profile analysis in die casting (see publications).Strong focus in continuous improvement, especially with lean manufacturing techniques, 6-Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and statistical process control.
