About Rivkah Block
I am a social science researcher with clinical training in social work and expertise in patient experience and engagement in healthcare. In my current role at Rx4good, I work on a variety of patient engagement activities focused on gathering and amplifying insights, experiences and voices of patients, survivors and caregivers living with a rare disease or another life challenging illness to increase patient focus in drug development and commercialization. My background includes extensive work in AYA research and advocacy in both academic and advocacy settings. Recently, I worked on developing and implementing a research and scholarship agenda in health equity for LGBTQ+ communities. Earlier in my career, I was Director of Research for MNR Analytics developing research and data strategies for advocacy organizations and medical institutions, Professor of Social Research, and the Director of Research and Advocacy at Critical Mass, The Young Adult Cancer Alliance working to transform young adult cancer care. The synergy of life experience, clinical and research skills and connection to social and professional community inspire, motivate and move me in all of my work.
