Leader of the San Diego Facilities Engineering and Maintenance Teams supporting daily and long-term operations in a R&D and Manufacturing location.• Lead/Manage multiple sites within San Diego,>1.5 million square feet, 10 employees, with year-round facilities support. • Manage a team of 25: supervisors, manager, analysts, planner, technicians and engineers. • Lead efforts in creating and hiring of critical personnel: in-house Electrician, HVAC technician, specialty engineers (HVAC, PE license, Electrical, BMS), with cost savings with work performed in-house verses outsourced work. • Developed 2nd shift Facilities maintenance technicians, improved work order assigned, re-aligned PM scheduling and improved skills enhancement. • Developed training plans for engineering and maintenance, to improve their troubleshooting skills, minimize operation impact and align with team development plans. • Streamlined service contracts with significant cost savings of >$1 million. • Established Facilities Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for all facility related activities. • Improved site wide shutdowns and scheduling by 75% over holidays, weekends and company breaks with streamlined processes, improved method of procedures MOPs and downtime.• Created weekend coverage meetings to review all weekend work activities within the sites. • Successfully supported an FDA regulated environment responsible for facilities equipment, PM and CM Maintenance, Calibration and Lifecycle Asset Management (LCAM), mid-sized mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction project management, change control activities, commissioning and facilities validation all within an FDA regulated environment.
