About Blakley Byrd
Throughout my college experience, I have had the opportunity to continually transform challenges into achievements. At Rocker B Ranch – an elite venue for youth baseball tournaments – I was entrusted with management of the General Store. Through my leadership of a team of young employees, I contributed to a boost of average weekend sales from $14,700 in 2021 to $23,250 in 2022. I orchestrated a seamless guest experience and fostered a positive and productive work environment throughout an average 13 weekend tournaments each summer. As Assistant Press Secretary Intern for Congressman Pete Sessions (TX-17), I composed district-wide newsletters, constructed comprehensive media briefs, and facilitated strong constituent relationships across a district with a population of over people. My academic journey at Baylor University – where I am pursuing a Human Resources Management major with Political Science and English minors – has provided me with a holistic education that has been enriched by leadership roles through engaging with various organizations. In 2024, I received the Tri Delta Sisterhood Award by maintaining active leadership, extensive intramural participation, and embodying the values of truth, self-sacrifice, and friendship.
