ABOUT BLAKE M.
I am a graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with an M.S. in Marine Biology, where I worked as both a graduate research and teaching assistant under the supervision of Dr. Benjamin Walther. My thesis utilized stable isotopes to reconstruct the lifetime movement and dietary behaviors of Atlantic Tarpon in the Gulf of Mexico. I’m passionate about the conservation and sustainable management of natural resources with an interest in conservation ecology, fisheries science, or environmental education and outreach. I’m especially interested in collaborative positions that integrate field or applied research with community engagement, policy, or education to support evidence-based conservation efforts.I received my B.S. in Marine Science-Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from The University of Tampa in May 2022. During my time there I was a research assistant in Dr. Kevin Beach’s marine botany lab, a lab mentor for biostatistics, and a member of the men\'s varsity lacrosse team (2022 NCAA D2 National Champions). I also served as the student government representative for UT\'s Student Chapter for The Society of Conservation Biology.
