President of Delphi Precision Imaging (DPI), an industrial CT scanning company located in Redmond WA. The company uses the NSI 3D Industrial X-Ray Inspection System. We have both a 225kV and 450kV source, and full motion control. We also have special features built into our NSI system - VorteX, SubpiX, and MosaiX. Customers can come to our location in person for real-time interaction/inspection, or they can ship parts to us and have results sent back. All customers are welcome, including aerospace industry, precision machining and casting companies, battery technology companies, medical devices companies, and companies involved in hardware failure investigations. Industrial CT scanning addresses the following customer needs:• Screening for flaws in high value or high risk components before they are incorporated into products. This prevents litigation exposure for our customers, affirming no built-in flaws prior to delivery to their customers.• Highly accurate inspection of critical parts or assemblies, where traditional external measurements are not practical. Internal dimensions can be affirmed, for example, when the part is 3-D printed.• Screening of Casts/Molds for variances in density, affirming the quality of the unfinished part, prior to investing in further manufacture.• Final functionality of critical assemblies. This affirms the customer’s product does not have an interference or other fit issue that would limit its lifetime.• For parts that are involved in a failure, CT scanning can show internal cracks, flaws and other hidden features without disassembly of the part.
