I have enthusiastically dedicated my career in service of others. Be it through contributing to the global operations of Peace Corps, serving as an educator and cross-cultural facilitator in China, procuring agricultural commodities for life-nurturing domestic programs, or supporting exchange programs, I have been grateful to wake up every day with an opportunity to impact positive change in our world. My pragmatic optimism and creative spirit have equipped me for success, with tangible results.I\'m an avid international traveler (with a particular focus on Asia), foodie, coffee lover, photographer, and relentless news-consumer. My enthusiasm for cultural and culinary exploration has brought me around the world, to over 40 countries and territories - to East Asia (China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Mongolia), Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Timor-Leste), South Asia (India, Nepal), the Middle East and North Africa, Europe, and Central and South America. I believe that the best way to understand another culture is to experience it firsthand on a people-to-people level through great conversations and all five senses. My professional goals are driven by the desire to help others experience and benefit from cultural exchange and improved engagement in civil society and governance.Throughout my professional and personal life, I have strived to advance intercultural competence, diversity, and inclusion with diplomacy and an ability to both uplift and educate.
