As a patent attorney with Erickson Kernell IP, my responsibilities include the preparation and prosecution of mechanical, biological, chemical, biochemical, textile, fiber and nanotechnology patent applications in both the United States and abroad. My responsibilities also include conducting and evaluating due diligence, infringement, freedom to operate, clearance and patentability opinions. I manage the patent portfolios for clients in both the United States and abroad as well as facilitate the management of outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of foreign patent and trademark applications. I also have extensive experience in the preparation and prosecution of trademark applications in both the United States and abroad. I have experience in infringement evaluations and the litigation of patents, trademarks and copyrights in addition to the drafting and negotiation of nondisclosure, joint development and technology licensing agreements. My experience also includes the evaluation and advisement regarding trademark oppositions and cancellations before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
