A nationally recognized expert in construction and program management, he is an authority on project delivery systems and CM/PM standard of care issues. Blake has been a leader in changing the construction industry’s view of construction management from a distinct project delivery method to a professional practice of a distinct set of services. He is extremely active nationally in the Construction Management Association of America’s efforts to promote quality management within the construction industry having served as National Chairman from 2001 to 2002. Perhaps his strongest contributions have been to the Association’s publications where Blake was principal author or editor for updating or creating more than a dozen manuals and standard documents.Co-founder of MBP, a construction consulting firm that specializes in assisting clients in managing the construction process from initial budget, through design and construction, to successful project closeout. Established in 1989, MBP is consistently recognized by Engineering News-Record as a national Top 100 construction management firm and Top 50 program management firm.
