About Blake Monroe

Blake is an Austin Peay State University Alumni, where he graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication. Blake has a background in many professional avenues including Sports Journalism, public relations, and fundraising. Blake has been with Visit Clarksville for 3 years. In those 3 years he has continued to make great strides in bringing new sporting events to the community as well as retaining many of the tournaments already in place. In addition to his sports recruitment and event planning, he also works as an advocate with local partners, hotels, and attractions to educate them on the importance of tourism. In 2023, Blake oversaw 42 different tournaments, events, and championships that generated $26 Million of impact for Montgomery County. Blake continues to approach his day-to-day job with a new perspective that lends new ideas to the Tourism industry in our community.

   In addition to my role in the sports industry, I am excited to expand my impact by serving both the Clarksville community and its visitors in a greater capacity.Tourism plays a vital role in economic development, encompassing education, advocacy, community engagement, and the promotion of overnight stays, among other key areas. In this position, I will have the opportunity to strengthen our relationships with event rights holders and collaborate more closely with local hotels. Together, we will work daily to support their needs and drive sustained business growth for the Clarksville area.
