About Blake Gura
I am a recent graduate from Wayne State University with my Bachelor\'s of Science in Biomedical Engineering and currently a cadidate for my Master\'s of Science in Biomedical Engineering, with a concentration in Biomaterial Science. With my degree, I hope to enter the field of medical device R&D and manufacturing, with a primary interest in implantable devices.Throughout my enrollment at Wayne State, I have had exciting opportunities to lead novel engineering research in the Hydrocephalus space through the Harris Lab, with our research being featured in Fluids and Barriers of the CNS.Currently, I am working as an Operations Engineer Co-op at Endo Pharmaceuticals, where I assist in managing day-to-day operations of pharmaceutical manufacturing for sterile injectables, work in process and workflow improvement, and gain industry experience. Working in this space thus far has piqued my interest in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing; I am hopeful that this opportunity will open new doors for my professional career.
